The role is a Grade 7 Lecturer specifically teaching on the undergraduate BSc Dance Science programme. The role requires a lecturer with an excellent knowledge of nutrition at a level appropriate to an undergraduate science degree. This includes dance-specific expertise in nutritional theories and applied practice for dancers in training plus a developed understanding of current recommendations and research in the field.
The role also requires an understanding of TL assessment processes and procedures, IT skills, and familiarity with Moodle as a Virtual Learning platform. The post includes responsibility for assessment, marking and report-writing, and liasing with support teams for submission and management of student work (included in the hourly rate).
BSc Dance Science: Nutrition
• Lecturing: 14 weeks at 2 x 1.5 hours per week, February to July
• Module Leading: 10 hours per year
There may be also opportunities for second marking and moderating duties, Project supervision and extra teaching or cover within the BSc Dance Science or across other programmes, if the successful applicant’s experience, knowledge and expertise applies.
